New ride

When we were in the mountains a couple of weekends ago, Isaac got to try out his new ride....a trailer bike! Grandma & Popo were so kind to let us borrow theirs for a while to see how he likes it. (I think his exact words on the ride were "this is soooo exciting!") It's basically a bike with one wheel that fastens behind an adult bike. It's a great way for them to learn some balance until they are ready to ride their own bike. Tessa is pretty happy about this new setup too as she likes having the trailer all to herself!

Yo Ho!!

Last weekend in the mountains we attended "Beatlefest" in Frisco and got to watch a lumberjack competition/demonstration. It was actually pretty entertaining, and just short enough to capture the kids attention - something we don't get to see everyday! Apparently "yo-ho" is the lumberjack cheer.

Tessa taking in the show! (she liked the music best!)

More Kansas photos

Here are a couple more photos from our weekend in Kansas....Tessa, Finley and Parker chasing a poor toad (frog) around the yard...

And one of the highlights of the weekend - draining the swimming pool. It drains to the street, and Isaac had so much fun playing in the water!

More playing in the water!

Hello September!

So, all of a sudden we turned around and it was September! We spent the first weekend of the month back in Kansas visiting family and attending my class reunion. It was back home for a short week and then we spent last weekend enjoying the cool mountain weather with Mom & Mike. I'll try to catch up this week with photos from the past couple weeks...here is a start - more park pics! (Sorry if you're getting tired of these, but our kids REALLY like to play at the park!) Here are Tessa & Isaac riding the skunk and seahorse at the Clifton Park. I love Tessa's expression! (By the way, I played on these things when I was a kid...they're that old! :-)

The kids really enjoyed spending time with their cousins Parker & Finley again! Once again we tried to round them up for a group photo!

Parker! (I also love his expression here!)

Isaac - the "real" smile!
