More cute pics from the weekend...
As I was getting Tessa undressed, she rolled over before I could get the onesie over her head completely (she is rolling over constantly now!). She left this on her head for quite a while...probably because we were all laughing and giving her attention and taking her photo!
Isaac has been asking for a while now to have Tessa take a bath with him. We finally let them last weekend (with me there to hold Tessa!). You can see in this photo how tickled they both are! Even though Tessa is still so little, it's a joy to watch them play together already!

Mountain weekend
We spent a nice long Memorial Day weekend in the wet mountains! The weather didn't keep us from enjoying a short hike on Sunday morning, though. It was Isaac's first hike where he actually got to "hike" - not ride in the backpack - and he really enjoyed every little stick and stone. We are finding that the speed of hiking with a toddler walking is much different than when they are carried in a backpack! Here are some photos of our hike!

Water weekend!
Now that the weather is warming up, Isaac is having fun playing with water in the yard. Kallie (our dog) finally found something she enjoys doing with Isaac - biting the spray from the hose!
The neighborhood sprinklers are on in full force and that makes for lots of fun splashing in the puddles in the street!

Little gardener
Isaac loves helping me water the plants on the back porch. The other night I filled up the watering can with the hose and let him do the watering while I fixed dinner.

A little while later I heard the hose sprayer and walked out to find this! I guess he needed a little more water and decided he could do it himself! Each day I am amazed at how much he is growing up and becoming more and more independent!

Sittin' pretty
Tessa is getting really good at sitting up and loves to sit in her big brother's chair. She is also figuring out that dresses are really fun to wear because she can pull them up over her belly and chew on them!
I wanted to post this photo of John as a baby - even though everyone says that Tessa looks just like me, I think she really looks like her daddy sometimes - especially in this photo. She definitely has his big blue eyes!

Giggly girl
Tessa is really starting to giggle and laugh - one of her favorite times to do this is when I am taking off her clothes. (which I had just done here in these photos because she had one of those explosions that ruins whatever outfit she might be in) I guess taking off her shirt tickles her belly because she gets this infectious little laugh! She is such a happy little thing...even over the past couple days as we've all had a case of the sniffles. (don't worry, none of us have the swine flu!) Oh - and another milestone - she rolled over from her back to her belly yesterday, although as with the first time she rolled from her belly to back - I missed it! Both times I put her in her crib and came back to find her in another position - sneaky little girl!

Cereal
This week we followed the suggestion of our pediatrician to introduce rice cereal into Tessa's diet. She picked up eating with the spoon right away and gobbles up her cereal every evening that I give it to her - sometimes she even screams when it's done because she wants more! I don't want to give her too much - I'm not sure how much her little tummy can hold! Everyone always says that the cereal helps babies sleep better through the night - but she was already doing that...She's now giving us between 8-10 hours of sleep each night! Here's her messy little face at dinnertime!
